State Sen. Jean Leising to chair State Fair Advisory Committee
STATEHOUSE (June 27, 2024) — State Sen. Jean Leising (R-Oldenburg) will serve as chair of the State Fair Advisory Committee and as a member of several study committees in preparation for the 2025 legislative session.
Leising’s other assignments include the Interim Study Committee on Agriculture and Natural Resources, Interim Study Committee on Energy, Utilities, and Telecommunications and the Medicaid Advisory Commission.
“I look forward to continuing our work making our state fair one of the best in the nation,” said Leising. “I also hope these interim study committees will help us to take the time to understand how to best protect our farmland, our natural resources and our energy production to better Indiana’s future.”
Legislators will meet over the summer and fall months to discuss topics approved by the bipartisan Legislative Council, which is comprised of 16 voting members – eight from the Senate and eight from the House of Representatives.
