Greensburg Jr. High Cross Country 09/25/23

The Greensburg Junior High Cross Country Teams hosted the Eastern Indiana Athletic Conference Championship Meet on Monday night. The Lady Pirates placed 2nd defeating East Central, Greendale, Rushville, Connersville, and South Dearborn. The Boys placed 3rd defeating East Central, Connersville, Rushville, and South Dearborn.

The Lady Pirates were led by the Individual EIAC Runner Up Champion Madeline Risher as she ran her best time on the home course for the 2nd place finish. Other EIAC All Conference Team Medalists included Eleanor Davis in 5th, Lulu Webb in 9th and Makayla Keiffer in 14th. Eleanor, Lulu and Makayla also dropped time at home. Other ladies that improved at home were Tensley Brewsaugh, Noelle Kern, and Hadley Meyer. Lulu Webb improved the most as she set a New Career Best of 12:26.7.

Leading the boys team was Jackson Tekulve with a 4th place EIAC All Conference Team finish. Joining Jackson on the EIAC All Conference Medalist podium were Henry Corya in 6th place and Oliver Corya in 10th place. All 3 boys ran their best times ever on the home course with Henry improving the most by breaking the 12:00 barrier for the first time at home.
